Wow, great sand landscape. I’ve always wanted to run up and down on sand dunes, feeling the heat of the sands on my feet. Thanks for sharing. Connie
Thanks Connie! Actually there was a guy there doing just that, running up and down the dunes. I can’t imagine how much his quads must have hated him!
wow…. these pics r amazing.. i’m proud to be brazilian! 🙂
Spectacular photos — I don’t think I’d mind being there just about now…
Just stunning. You’re an obviously talented person. Thanks for sharing; you’ve thereby passed along a little bit of happy!
Wow, gorgeous pictures!
GORGEOUS photos. Nice job!
Some lovely pictures, keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing your images. First and fifth my favs.
What beautiful photos – I especially like the brilliant light coming through the clearing in the sky. The reflection looks like fiery amber in a watery midst. Thanks for sharing.
What makes the sand so very, very white…like snow?
WOW!! You are great. Thanks for sharing. These pics really come to life.
I love sand dunes! There’s picture in this post from my blog of the dunes at Valle de la Luna near San Pedro de Atacama in Northern Chilé I took in 2008.
What a stunning view! How awesome
Great post, I love the shots
almost like a little piece of heaven…:-)
LOVELY Photos! Great work!!!
wooowww!! this looks like a really beautiful place.. and the pictures are amazing.. looks like you had lots of fun, thanks for sharing with us.. 😀
Wow, never looked at the sand that way before. Awesome pics. TY for posting this.

such as wonderful place, thanks for post.
Some of these pictures are just incredible. Thanks for the share.
Those Photos are great! Did you take all of them? They look very professional. Congrats on being on Fresh Press!
Thank you! My very talented boyfriend took them with a canon powershot S95. I direct and he clicks. We make a good team!
Exactly amazing photos. I would love to see that kind of view someday. God works really are marvelous!! thanks for the share 🙂
O.O I wonder if you could Sand Surf there. Looks amazing!
You definitely can! If you look closely at the 2nd and 4th photos you’ll see guys sand boarding. You can rent boards right there at the base of the dunes.
That’s a lot of dune… lovely photos!
beautiful. especially the sun shining through the clouds!
Gorgeous photos – love the perspectives you used! Well done.
I love the one with the reflection
what camera do you use?
My boyfriend is the photographer, he uses a canon powershot S95. He prefers more somber scenes but occasionally he’ll indulge me in taking pretty landscape shots too!
Lovely shots you got there!
These images are awesome, great viewpoints.
Great photos! One of my favorite memories is a wild and crazy dune buggy ride up and down 300 foot sand dunes in Florence, Oregon. I was totally jazzed for the rest of the day!
Jazzed! I love that expression. I wasn’t so much jazzed as awestruck though. I’ve been on sand dunes in Morocco where that’s all you can see is a monotonous panorama of rolling sand, but here with the ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other and mountains in between…it was like sensory overload!
Amazingly beautiful nature, nice shots 😀
The photos are breathtaking. Nothing like Mother Nature to bring out the artist in a person, whether with a camera, a paintbrush, or other media. The colors and textures just never cease.
very soothing pics…
Great post. I like shots. Thanks for post.
Where i live you can’t run on the sand dunes anymore, because they’ll erode into the ocean. but they’re fun to run down 🙂 Nice photos.
It’s a strange feeling sinking into deep sand with each step as you let your free fall down the side of a dune. You feel so light!
Fantastic shots–the first one is my fav. Sunsets never get old.
Simply beautiful images!
NICE PICS !!
awesome! love looking at it after being in real winter again!
Nice photos; the location looks really beautiful!
What a lovely place. Reminds me of the dunes in Huacachina, Peru.
Absolutely love the second last photo – gorgeous!
Wow!!! great sand landscape
You’re going to be inundated with comments now that you’re Freshly Pressed, so I’ll try to brief! Many congrats on being Freshly Pressed. Love the photos. Love your blog that I’ve had time to explore a bit this morning. Will be back to read more that’s for sure! …… and look forward to reading more!
It’s a bit overwhelming! But yes absolutely amazing and so glad I could share this beautiful part of ‘Floripa’ with others. Thanks for reading!
Will never leave this place within a week if I am there.
I was really drawn to the photo on the “Freshly Pressed” page, and just needed to take a look! . . . The sand, the sea, the mountains! Magnificent!
Sand surfing, that’s awesome! These photos are beautiful 🙂
Aww I love sunsets on the beach, especially white-sand beaches!
My favorite is the 4th picture–got the mountains, seas, and white sand….what more could you ask for? So much depth in one picture–a very dynamic picture:)
Thank you Romantic Asian Guy! Floripa is a pretty romantic place 😉
Dude…surfin’ the dunes. Rad.
Amazing place!!! WOWWWWWWWWW!!!
Hey, congrats on getting Pressed! Well done 🙂
Hey thanks Corey! I’ve enjoyed browsing your blog this morning. Makes me miss being an expat in Paris. You have such a talent for summing up what it feels like to see Paris with the freshness that only a foreigner can bring to a new city.
Jeez. I love these. Especially the very first photo. Which effect on the camera did you use (or perhaps Photoshop)? It’s pretty amazing.
Congratulations on getting on Freshly Pressed as well. You do deserve it, with those images! Great post.
Thanks for your comment. I asked my boyfriend what he did when he took the photo: “nothing special, normal camera settings”. Then what I did when I got the photo onto iPhoto was click “enhance”, which sharpened the image a bit. Probably not the expert answer you were looking for but that’s it! Truly, it was just good luck to be there at that exact moment when the sunset was breaking through the clouds and warming up the colors of the sand. Just breathtaking.
i like it, nice photos, it’s an amazing sand landscape.
WoW! Its beautiful! Great pictures!
breathtaking…to say the least.
