Beach Treasures on Brazil’s Honey Island

Honey Island is a beachcomber’s dream. In addition to the hundreds of perfectly intact sand dollars that dot the shores, many other curious treasures beach themselves here. And here they remain, blissfully removed from the erosive nature of heavy foot traffic thanks in large part to the island’s isolation (only accessible by passenger ferry, no cars allowed) and to the strictly controlled nature reserve that encompasses the northern half of the island.
